What is a Twitch emote?

New streamers get basic global emotes, while Affiliates and Partners can add custom emotes with more subscriber points.

How to add emotes to Twitch?

To add emotes on Twitch, ensure you've become a Partner or Affiliate streamer. Go to Viewer Rewards > Emotes > Subscriber Emotes in your channel settings. Choose your tier and click the + icon to upload your emote files.

What’s the best Twitch emote size?

The recommended size for Twitch emotes is 112 x 112 pixels. However, you can also use 56 x 56 or 28 x 28 pixels for smaller sizes. To ensure high-quality emotes on stream, the file must be under 25kb and saved as a PNG with a transparent background.
