Pixabay App Privacy Policy

This privacy notice covers the Kittl Pixabay Extension and supplements Kittl's main Privacy Policy at kittl.com/privacy. Both apply in full; this notice describes only what is specific to the Pixabay integration.

The Pixabay Extension lets you search Pixabay's library of free stock photos from inside the Kittl editor and add a photo to your design. It does not connect to a Pixabay account and never asks you to sign in to Pixabay; Kittl calls the Pixabay API with its own key. Kittl is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Pixabay GmbH. Pixabay is a trademark of Pixabay GmbH.

When you search, the keyword you type is sent to Pixabay through Kittl's servers, so Pixabay receives the search term but not your IP address or your Kittl account details. Search results are cached on Kittl's servers for 24 hours, as Pixabay's API terms require. The photo previews in the results grid are loaded by your browser directly from Pixabay's servers, so Pixabay receives your IP address and standard browser information for those requests, just as when you visit any website. Kittl records the search terms you enter as product analytics to operate and improve the feature, as described in the main Privacy Policy; the analytics do not include which photos you add.

When you add a photo to a design, Kittl downloads it from Pixabay through Kittl's servers, where it may be cached for up to 24 hours, and stores it in your Kittl workspace. From then on it is governed by the imported-content terms in our main Privacy Policy. The photo itself remains subject to the Pixabay Content License.

Kittl does not resell or redistribute Pixabay content or Pixabay-derived data to any third party. Because the extension holds no Pixabay credentials for you, there is nothing to disconnect; you can stop using it at any time by uninstalling the extension in Kittl.
