Text Shadow Effects

With shadow effects, you can add depth and dimension to your text by applying different types of shadows. This helps your designs stand out and gives your text a more dynamic look.

Kittl offers four types of text shadows:

  • Drop – a soft, offset shadow for subtle depth
  • Line – a sharp, outlined shadow for a graphic style
  • Block – a bold, solid shadow that adds strong contrast
  • Detailed 3D – a layered shadow that gives a three-dimensional effect

How to Apply a Text Shadow

  1. Select any text on your artboard. The settings panel on the right will open automatically.
  2. In the right panel, click Text Shadow to open the effects library.
  3. Choose a shadow style from the available options to apply it to your text.
  4. Click the color swatch to change the effect color.
  5. Use the Offset, Angle, and Blur sliders to fine-tune the look of your shadow.
  6. To remove the effect, click the minus (–) icon next to Text Shadow. This will remove the shadow and collapse the section.

Tips

  • Shadows work best on bold and large text for maximum visibility.
  • Combine different colors, angles, and blur levels to create unique effects.
  • The Detailed 3D shadow adds extra depth—try it for titles or standout elements.
