The Ruler and Guides feature in Kittl gives designers precise control over element positioning and alignment. With rulers, customizable guides, and robust snapping functionality, you can easily create accurately aligned layouts.
How to use Ruler and Guides
Enable rulers from View > Ruler and Guides.
Use the shortcut Shift + R to toggle rulers on or off.
Ruler units match your project’s unit setting.
Ruler resolution dynamically adjusts with zoom levels.
When an element is selected, rulers highlight its dimensions.
Creating and Managing Guides
Click and drag from the horizontal ruler to create a horizontal guide.
Click and drag from the vertical ruler to create a vertical guide.
Place guides inside an artboard or anywhere on the canvas.
Objects automatically snap to guides, ensuring clean and professional layouts.
Reposition guides by selecting and dragging them.
Delete guides by selecting and pressing Delete or right-clicking and choosing Delete.
Use guides to create precise grid layouts for various projects such as posters, brochures, presentations, etc., ensuring a structured and visually appealing composition.
