This week we’re making an update to how AI usage works in Kittl: Credits are now Tokens.
Credits → Tokens
We’ve switched from Credits to Tokens to make AI pricing more flexible and transparent. Here’s what you need to know:
- 1 Credit = 10 Tokens (your balance has been multiplied by 10).
- No price changes — everything costs the same as before for now, just in Tokens.
- Tokens give us finer control over pricing, so we can pass on cost savings more quickly.
Why this matters
AI models are evolving fast, and their costs change too. With Tokens, we can now price models at fractions of a Credit. That means when our costs go down, you’ll benefit immediately with lower token prices.

- ChatGPT Image 1: 14 Tokens
- ChatGPT Image 1 HD: 42 Tokens
- AI Flows are also cheaper this month, create more smartboard designs with your Tokens
We’re also actively working with our AI partners to negotiate better rates and bring you even more value in the future. For now, you can create up to 30% more generations with ChatGPT until end of August!
Coming soon: Token top-ups
Alongside this change, we’re preparing to launch the ability to purchase additional Tokens on top of your plan. This means more flexibility — if you run out of Tokens mid-month, you’ll be able to top up instantly without upgrading your entire subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to do anything to switch from Credits to Tokens?
No action required. We’ve handled the conversion automatically.
Will my current balance really be multiplied by 10?
Yes. For example, 200 Credits = 2000 Tokens in your account.
Is this a permanent change or just for August?
The switch to Tokens is permanent. August only brings special discounted pricing for certain models.
Will token prices go back up after August?
Yes, special August offers are temporary. After August, those models return to their normal token prices — but future reductions will be passed on automatically if costs drop again.
How will I know if model prices change in the future?
We’ll update pricing transparently in-app and on our product updates blog. You’ll always see token costs before you generate.
Are there any changes to non-AI features?
No. Projects, templates, and other features remain unchanged. This update only affects how AI usage is measured.
Does this affect the quality of AI outputs?
No. The models, their quality, and your access remain the same. Tokens only change how usage is counted and priced.
Can I buy more Tokens if I run out?
Very soon! We’re rolling out Token top-ups so you can purchase extra Tokens anytime, without changing your plan.
Does this affect the monthly AI credits included in my plan?
No. Your plan still includes the same amount of monthly AI credits (now converted to Tokens). Token top-ups will simply give you more flexibility if you need extra generations.
