In the last 2 weeks we’ve done a bunch of improvements to Kittl.
This is what’s new:

Mockups on Canvas

Add and edit mockups right where you work. Connect as many mockups as you want to any Artboard, change positions and backgrounds. All without leaving Canvas.

Add your first mockup

  1. Select an artboard.
  2. Open Mockups: Use the contextual taskbar button “Mockup” Or find “Mockup” in the Tools section of the properties panel.
  3. Browse the mockup library and pick a mockup.
  4. Kittl places the mockup on your canvas, linked to the selected artboard.

Since each Artboard supports unlimited mockups, you can create full product presentations or entire campaigns without switching tools. Read more here.

Pen Tool on Tablets

The Pen Tool is now fully available on tablet devices, giving you the same vector drawing experience wherever you work. Whether you’re sketching ideas or refining complex shapes, you can now create, edit, and adjust paths seamlessly with touch or stylus input (e.g. Apple Pencil). This update makes designing on the go possible.

UX Improvements

We’ve added a handful of updates to make working in Kittl faster and more intuitive:

  • Copy & Paste Text Style — Instantly duplicate text styling with ⌘⇧C / ⌘⇧V. It’s like an eyedropper tool — but for fonts, colors, and all text properties.
  • Browse & Preview Fonts on Hover — See how each font looks in real time as you explore.
  • Right-Click to Access Locked Objects — No more hunting through layers — unlock and edit directly on the canvas.
  • Hover Highlights — Easily see which layer you’re about to select before clicking.
  • Bold & Italics Shortcuts — Quickly apply font styles with simple keyboard shortcuts.
