And now we’re challenging you to come up with your own retro postcard! Make sure you have a city in mind, and think about what kind of scene you’ll put in the background to really show what that city is known for!

The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational. The event is dedicated to legendary Hawaiian surfer and lifeguard Eddie Aikau and has been held since 1986, but only ten editions have been held in that time. That's because it only happens when the waves exceed six meters in Waimea Bay.

<p>Now’s your chance to envision what your own coffee shop would look like. What’s the vibe? Is it super sleek and modern, or is it more old school with a vintage style? Give it some thought, and then enter our coffee shop logo challenge! Whether it’s a simple logo or a bit more elaborate (like our vintage coffee tutorial below) is totally up to you. Just make sure you have the following in your logo design:

<li>The main name of your coffee shop (typically the main text)</li>
<li>An illustration or icon in your logo design</li>
<li>Sub-text or slogan text (which gives a little more detail about your coffee logo)</li>

<p>It’s time to create your own magazine! We’re challenging you to come up with the cover design of your choice for a magazine topic of your choice! It could be about fashion (like we showed in our video), or food, or travel, or anything else under the general magazine topics you would commonly see. Now be sure to consider these points:

<ul>
<li>Choose a topic: fashion, food, travel, technology, architecture, etc</li>
<li>Make sure your cover has an attention-grabbing image or illustration</li>
<li>Make sure the magazine has an overall brand title (think Vogue, Lifetime, which are commonly at the top) as well as a clear issue title, and any necessary cover lines or sub-text (check out our video for help)</li>
</ul>
