Most people do not search for kerning<\/strong> because they have suddenly developed a passion for typography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They search for it because the letters in their logo look weird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They look up bleed<\/strong> because a printer has asked for it. They learn the difference between raster and vector<\/strong> after a customer sends them a photo of a blurry T-shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the useful side of design vocabulary. It gives a name to the problem in front of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also helps you describe what you want before the design exists. \u201cMake me a vintage logo\u201d leaves a lot to chance. \u201cCreate a circular emblem with a condensed slab serif and a two-color palette\u201d gives an AI generator something much clearer to work with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
